Few can lay claim to mastering their sound, yet Manchester’s indie-pop five-piece Five Days North have done just that. Their new forthcoming single ‘Champagne Shots’ is a real statement of intent that represents everything the group are about – straight from the heart, euphoric and downright catchy music that is set to land on the 9th July.
Bursting back onto the scene in 2020 with their single ‘Take Me Higher,’ which was picked as XS Manchester’s track of the week, as well as also releasing the BBC Introducing championed ‘Colours (In My Mind)’, the award-winning band hasn’t taken its foot off the gas ever since.
‘Champagne Shots’ is no exception, hands-in-the-air synth melodies, foundation-laying drums and bass and big-room vocal deliveries make for one of their most exciting tunes yet. On the track, the band added:
“Champagne Shots’ is a story of two people reflecting on the small bits of luxury that make life worthwhile. With artists like Bleachers’ influence on a memorable lead and the rhythm driven by a powerful synth bass, ‘Champagne Shots’ is the summer anthem to celebrate the reclaimed freedoms we all previously took for granted.”
Their slick, no-nonsense approach to song-writing hasn’t gone unnoticed either, as well as picking up support from BBC Introducing, they’ve graced the stages of Dot2Dot Festival and Kendal Calling, not to mention headlining the Manchester Academy 3, Gorilla and many more of the most exciting venues in the north.
Now armed with a brand-new single, Five Days North are set for a big summer and they want every single one of you to join them, who’s in?
