It seems like fate that as ITV announce the return of Saturday Night TV’s Stars In Their Eyes (rebranded as Starstruck) one of the original contestants who performed as Meat Loaf nearly 30 years ago, is this year taking on some of the music industry’s biggest names in the race for the coveted Christmas No.1 slot.
Tonight Matthew, I give you Steve Steinman…
Following his spellbinding performance on the hit TV show, Steve has worked incredibly hard to successfully extend that ‘one night’ into a full blown career, building a fanbase that most Rock Stars would be proud of, creating his own production company ‘Steve Steinman Productions’, performing across the globe and working with some of the world’s best known stars.
Prior to that fateful night, Steve had embarked on a career as a chef which led him to running his own restaurant. It was a far cry from a life that has seen him create and star in two massively successful classic rock musicals, namely Vampires Rock and the critically acclaimed Anything For Love: The Meat Loaf Story. The shows have sold out theatres and arenas across the UK and beyond, with Steve performing to 100,000’s of people and now boasting over a million YouTube views.
When the global lockdown of 2020 stopped all touring productions in their tracks, Steve took the opportunity to record an album of original songs entitled Take A Leap Of Faith Finally released in the Summer of 2021, the title track surpassed all expectations reaching No.1 on the Amazon Rock Chart and No.2 on the iTunes Rock Chart with the album being given the illustrious record of the highest pre ordered album on a first day of pre orders on Amazon Music.
Now Steve announces the release of a brand new single Journey Home, an emotional and powerful ballad that harks back to a golden era for radio with a sentiment ideal for the festive holiday season. With his army of loyal fans and supporters his aim is to reach the coveted Christmas No.1 slot, and with his track record to date, you’d be foolish to bet against it.
